the Recycle Circle project is an annual charity event held by a group of local designers who transform a variety of architectural and building materials into unique artistic creations. In the design industry, selecting materials is an important job for an architect or interior designer. We rely on the expertise of leading industry manufacturers to supply us with abundant trade samples for selection. Our mission is to recycle samples at the end of their life cycle into beautiful and functional products.

2009 is our second year of running the project. The project typically runs from October to December. Our designers have 8 weeks to conceptualize and execute their projects, culminating in a Holiday Charity Sale in the second week of Decmember. We ask you to pledge donations to take these projects home with you. Our goal is to award 100% of the sale proceeds to a local charity associated with children, youths and the arts.

Our vision is multifold:
         --- to cut down on waste and introduce industry materials to the public
         --- to build design communities and encourage creativity
         --- to raise funds for the arts and the shaping the lives of the next generation
